11A - Idea Napkin #1

1) You.
I am Daniel Plattner. I am a Junior majoring in APK and minoring in business. I am a very outgoing and determined person. When I pt my mind to something I do not stop till I achieve what I am aiming for. I specifically find a passion for business and I aspire to be my own boss eventually one day. I also have a passion for reading books. These were two key aspects that helped mold the idea of "Books-to-Go". Opening up this business would allow myself and many others a great, simple and  efficient way to past time by reading books/magazines. It would impact my life greatly I feel.
2) What are you offering to customers?
The service and product I would be providing would be gibing people and easy, simple and efficient way to past time by reading books. Much of the youth generation relies of technology to help past the time but what happens when you cant use your technology and need something to do. "Books-to-Go" will use a service very similar to Redbox and will be scattering across airports, bus stops and any convenient place to rent and drop off a book while traveling.
3) Who are you offering it to?
The typical customer would be a person who travels often and finds a love for reading. The demographic would more or less be for the older generations who don't rely on technology and such to past time and would prefer to read a good book to past time. The system will be implemented in places where traveling such as air, bus or train travel and gives people who want to past the time a way to do so.
4) Why do they care? Your solution is only valuable insofar as customers believe its valuable to them. Here, explain why customers will actually pay you money to use your product or service.
The main reason why customers would care is because it is a unique but old fashioned way to expand your knowledge on subjects while enjoying yourself by reading. While reading, for people who enjoy it, time flies by and this service will make travel time fly quicker than one could blink.
5) What are your core competencies?
This idea is completely revolutionary when it comes to traveling. By using a similar like service of Redbox it gives travelers the ultimate chance to enjoy a good book/magazine while traveling. It is very unique and the only other service that even mirrors anything like this idea would be the kindle fire but most of the older generation doesn't possess this device and many people who don't have the device still like to read.

I feel like all the elements of my business work really well together. I composed things that I enjoy to deal with things that I disliked and that other people disliked. The only concept hurting against my business would be the space of creating all these dispensary stations and people who have other methods to past time.

Books to go is a great idea for people who are traveling especially. I know a pilot for Delta Airlines who always brings a book to read and sometimes he has to stop in the stores at the airport to get a book. He spends quite a bit for them and has to settle with what they have available. Your idea offers a must larger array of books to choose from.
