28A- Exit Strategy

Here's what you should do and write up for your post:
1) Identify the exit strategy you plan to make. Do you intend to sell your business in the next 5 years for a large return? Do you intend to stay with the business for several decades and retire? Do you intend to protect the venture as a family business, and pass it down to your children?
My exit strategy all depends on the success of my business. Within five years will be too short of a time for me to determine whether or not I want to stick with my business. But after 10 years if my business has expanded to all national airports in North America I will stay with the business and continue to expand it's market. If this occurs I will stick with the business for as long as I can till I can retire than if any of my children want to take the handles from me I will pass it down.
2) Why have you selected this particular exit strategy?
I have choose this strategy because I feel it would be most beneficial towards myself and my family. If I handle the whole situation right I will be able to take care of my close family and friends for many years.
3) How do you think your exit strategy has influenced the other decisions you've made in your concept? For instance, has it influenced how you have identified an opportunity? Has it influenced your growth intentions or how you plan to acquire and use resources?
It has had an influence on my growth strategies. I plan to be able to expand my market all throughout North America and depending on if I can achieve this or not will really be the make or break point for myself to continue the business and keep trying to expand it.

  1. Hey Daniel I really like your post and completely agree with you. It would be really hard to tell what your exit strategy would be now because you have not witnessed the success of your business yet. I think that expanding to all airports in North America is a huge success and if that happens you should definitely keep the business and also keep it family run so that you can pass down all expertise and secrets directly.
